Could a Motivational Speaker Work?

Posted: under Business and Management.

As the use of motivational speakers becomes more and more prevalent within the commercial and academic sectors of the United Kingdom, traditionalists all over the nation are often heard criticising and turning their noses up at what they scathingly declare to be some absurd new fangled American tendency. It’s funny, actually, the way nearly anything which is popular in the US is so swiftly written off by particular types of scornful Brits.

What’s maybe more amusing, in an ironic type of way, is that the motivational speakercouldn’t be any further from some new fangled American trend. Motivational speaking is not brand new at all. Illustrations of the motivational speaker can be found all the way through history; as far back as speech itself goes.

Not only in history is the motivational speaker well known. Throughout centuries of literature, the most effective leaders were consistently good speakers. Fictional motivational speakers have long inspired new generations of speakers. Which speaker hasn’t tried to emulate the power, influence and drama wielded by Marc Antony in Shakespeare’s rhetoric-laced ‘Friends, Romans, Countrymen’ speech?

The work of a good motivational speaker can’t be underestimated. A powerful example is that of Winston Churchill’s ‘We shall fight them on the beaches’ speech. Morale has been raised and conflicts have been won and lost by good motivational speakers.

It follows then, really, that their capabilities within the corporate and academic sectors has been seen. When morale is low and sales have plummeted, it’s unbelievably easy for organisations to get themselves stuck in a rut. Uplifting words uttered by managers all too often take an accusatory or warning tone, which hinders rather than aids the problem. Hardly surprising then that the motivational speaker is in a lot more demand than ever.

Who then is the motivational speaker of the twenty-first century? In the public eye it’s still the politicians. In the world of sports it’s the football managers. In the world of learning it’s the teachers. However as motivational speaking becomes big business the motivational speaker becomes a more vague, more fluid notion. Today’s motivational speaker may be the big business man, the sports legend, the adventurer, the celeb and the success story, or any blend thereof. You might question their effectiveness or question their authority, but you just can’t argue with the results of a fantastic motivational speaker.

Leaning To Be Rich Is Possible

Posted: under Business and Management.

With our basic education system like the schools, do you realize the ubjects covered there for us to face the world? Topics like mathematics, geography, languages, science, history, moral studies, religion are among others and they are important for us to to know so that we can blend into the society well enough. But lessons taught are mostly (or all the time) concentrated on the theories, principles and/or basics which are hardly in consonance with the real world that we’re living or to be applied in real life.

When we grow up, we start to learn about creating wealth to fill in the gap in our life and we realize that there is not a single course in our education system which covers this very important subject (or if they have, it’s very minimal compare to what adults truly need). You’ll start to learn about how to create wealth when you’re not in school anymore.

We used to hear the expression: “Live within your means.” Nowadays, we need to correct this expression by changing “within” to “below.”

These days, if we work for somebody or for a corporation, we need to set aside some savings which we can use for a “rainy day.” There is never enough savings. That is why we sometimes find a second job. And this is the reason why we want to improve our lives financially, by getting off the “rat race” and achieving financial freedom.

To get off the “rat race”, it’s just like driving a car, you signal your intention. You send a signal to your brain so that your mindset will start to function on thoughts leaving the “rat race”

Let’s look at how a poor person thinks compared to the way a rich person thinks. Knowing the differences helps to open up your perception to the way your mind works. This also prepares or conditions your mind to have an in-depth understanding of financial issues.

The poor work for money. The rich make money work for them. Literally translated, the poor work to gain money in exchange for their services, to pay for bills and all the other expenses. The rich use money to earn money by investing and/or going into business. They employ the services of other people so they do not necessarily have to be physically present to maintain their business. This gives them more free time to engage in other moneymaking ventures.

The poor think that the love of money is the root of all evil that is why they choose to remain poor. The rich think that the lack of money is the root of all evil, that is why they strive to create wealth.

The poor and middle class buy their personal things like clothing and household furnishing readymade. The rich buy them made-to-order. Items that are made-to-order are usually more expensive because they are unique or one-of-a-kind, giving the rich more options, choices, and advantages.

The poor would advice their children to study hard so that the children can find a good company to work for when schooling is finished. The rich would advice their children to study hard so that their children can build a good company or find a good company to buy.

The excuse of the poor why they are poor is because they are supporting their families, so expenses are high. The rich are motivated to be wealthy because they are supporting their families, striving to earn more. Many men and women cringe when it comes to taking risk with money especially the less wealthy ones. The rich will find ways to control and manage this risk.

On the issue of reaching retirement age, the poor depend on a company or the government taking care of their needs or pension. The rich prefer financial self-reliance.

The poor can afford to save a few dollars. The rich can afford to make investments to increase their wealth.

The poor would compose impressive resumes to find good jobs. The wealthy people would come up with great business plans to create employments for others.

The poor would say that money does not interest them. The rich would say that money is power.

We can see that there are lots of differences in thinking attitudes between the poor and the rich. Often times, the directions of thinking are opposite each other. How the mind works determines the person. It is unfortunate though that more people choose the easier way to think, which is the way the poor think; hence the higher percentage of people are in the poor and middle class. But there is always the chance to improve, for as long as the mind is willing.

However, when you are willing to work for your own self improvement, to elevate yourself from being poor to being wealthy, is not enough and will not materialize if it is not coupled with action, the final and most important determinant to turn a poor person into a rich one. Not just any action but intelligent, decisive, fearless action.

Learn to gain more knowledge. Learn to be updated and leave to experience what is antiquated. Learning is to keep pace with the latest technology and information. Since learning or knowledge is power, it follows that information is power. And if we have power on hand, we have access to wealth. So it makes sense that information nowadays is vital to creating wealth. The more updated you are, the better your chances of making more money.

Acquiring of knowledge cannot be simpler in this age of the internet. Just Google even the most obscure subject and you are likely to find a site for it. As such, there is no excuse to not learn. It’s the only way we can rise above our levels.

Success only happens when you are working for your own well being because doing it for others will ensure that you sabotage your own success. We have two recommendations for you — to learn about success, we recommend The Success Principle and for financial wealth, go for Cash In A Flash.

Motivated People are Successful People

Posted: under Business and Management.

Having motivation and success are two things that go together. You have to have one to have the other. The key to having good success is how much motivation you put behind it. You need to have your own ideas and goals and then find a way to follow through with them. You need to get a plan and then put it into action to make it work. There are different factors in determining how much success you have in life and what you do to get motivated. Go to team development for more information.

Getting a reason to follow through with your motivation and your goals is important. You need to think about what you want and need in life. Having an inside goal is something that you can have for your own personal well being. Think about the things that you want in life and how you intend on getting them to happen for you. You need to have self-improvement and goals for yourself to make your life mean something. Putting your motivation skills to work in this area will be a huge benefit to you.

You can also use the outside influences that are around you to help get you motivated. You can use your friends and family as motivation to keep you going and to help you get to where you want to be in life. You can learn a lot from what others have been through and their stories can get you to keep your motivation going and to help you find positive things to help you throughout life.

You have to have goals set for yourself in life. You need to have this so that you can have a purpose in life. When you have a clear picture of what you want from life you will have a better idea of how to get there. Without goals, you will have nothing to motivate you to get what you want from life. You should set long-term goals as well as short-term goals to help you get where you need to be for happiness in life. Refer to Motivational Consultants for more information.

Figure out why you want to have these certain goals in your life. Think about why your goals are important and what you want to achieve with them. You may have to keep on reminding yourself that you are in need of having this goal for yourself. As long as you are determined to make things happen for you, there is hope. This is a form of motivation and with some work and some determination, you can make your goals come true and this will help you succeed in life.

Using all three of the above will give you the motivation to move on and to get where you want and need to be in life. You will feel good about what you have achieved and learn to use these skills for the other obstacles and goals that you have set aside for you in life. You will feel good each time you make one of your goals become a reality because you have used your motivation methods for success in the right way.

Give yourself discipline. You have to make yourself work hard for things that you really want in life. There is nothing in life that is really worth anything if you do not work for it. Getting a free ride will not teach you anything about motivation and where you need to be with your own personal goals and happiness in life. Follow through with the motivation methods that you have learned and you will get to where you want to be and feel good about what you have achieved along the way. Motivational Speaker Tips: Affiliate Marketing, Do You Have What It Takes

Posted: under Business and Management.

Affiliate marketing can be a tough egg to crack. If you`ve come online in search of overnight riches, than maybee you should evaluate your traits to see if you have what it takes, to succeed as an affiliate. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

The first thing you must expect as an affiliate marketer is Investment. Yes, their are many affiliate programs that you can start with for free. But, somewhere down the road you will find yourself having to invest in your online business.

Wether your program offers you high commissions if you upgrade your membership, or you need to pay for advertising to achieve better results. There will be investment.

Now that we have that out of the way, let`s talk about committement. Are you the type of person that will work your butt off now, to achieve wealth for the long term? Or are you impatient and think wealth is created quickly on the internet? If you are impatient, than affiliate programs will not be for you. Affiliate success takes time to build. It could happen in 2 months or it could take 2 years. It all depends on your efforts and your consistancy to pay off for you.

Affiliate marketing consists of various techniques, that take time for you to master. On top of that, there is alot more competition online these days. Other affiliates are marketing to the same customers, so you will need to be more informed to grab those affiliate commissions before your competion does.

In my years online as an affiliate marketer, I have signed up many affiliates under me. This part of the process was not a problem for me at all. The problem that I have encountered is keeping these affiliates under me motivated. The more motivated your downline is the more sales and sign ups they will generate, and that equals commissions for me. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

Just like me, you will have to learn new marketing techniques to keep affiliates below you motivated. You will also have to spend your investments wisely on advertising that will produce profits. Your persistance is what will set you apart from other affiliates, when it comes to generating a large monthly income.

Take action and you will succeed. Do nothing and you will never earn a dime. I have these 2 types of affiliates in my downlines. The motivated sales person and the person that joins and never does a thing and than quits.

The motivated affiliate starts out methodically and learns what types of affiliate marketing techniques work and which techniques do not work. They will start making money and it will continually build, until they are earning more money than they were at their old jobs.

The un-motivated affiliate will join and than maybee, place one ad somewhere and get mad or frustrated when they don`t see results immediately. The next step that the un-motivated affiliate will take is to say “this affiliate program is a scam” and than quit.

As I have said, I have seen both types of affiliate marketers and the ones that take action and know that this is a business, always earn money. Visit motivational speaker for further information.

Coaching and Writing a Book Go Together: 10 Reasons for Coaches to Become Authors or Keynote Speakers

Posted: under Business and Management.

You’re a coach and you know your field. You bring the best of your expertise and inspiration to your clients. Don’t miss the golden opportunity that writing a book can bring you. If you’re good at what you do and want to reach even wider audiences, writing a book is a must in today’s competitive coaching marketplace. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

Here are 10 reasons for you, the coach or thought leader, to become a published author.

1) Your book establishes you in the public eye as an expert in your field, a very effective form of branding. There is status and prestige in being the author of a published book.

2) Your book is a long-term and very substantial marketing tool, with more clout than newspaper/magazine ads or commercials on radio or TV. It gives you a strong advantage in terms of positioning yourself in a competitive marketplace.

3) Your book will help gain you access to ongoing media interviews, such as talk radio and talk TV. This is related to point #1–the perception of you as an expert. But it goes further than that. The media enjoy good story-telling, and your authorship of a book establishes you (in the mind of media and the public) as a story-teller with something interesting to share.

4) Your book gives you the opportunity to explore and express your own creativity with words and concepts in a very concrete way.

5) Your book enables you to increase the “value added” aspects of seminars, keynote speaking, presentations and coaching sessions by having the book included in the cost of your seminars, available for sale at events where you speak, available for order from your website; or as a tool you give your clients when they sign on for coaching. Refer to Keynote Speaker for more information.

6) In writing your book, you organize your thoughts and experiences and distill the most powerful wisdom of your expertise and experiences. This allows you to keep your message strong and consistent, and to find the compelling narrative arc that makes your book magnetic to your readers and clients. You can also revise as needed. It is possible to periodically publish revised editions or to produce a series of books.

7) Despite the rise of electronic media and the “sound bite” universe, consumers continue to enjoy the feeling of actually holding a book in their hands. Research has shown that even when people buy books in ebook form as internet downloads, more than 60% of e-book buyers will also buy the trade-bound form in traditional book format from bookstores, through sites such as Amazon, or placing an order from your website. Many authors have both an ebook and hardbound or softbound trade edition.

8) Your book enables you to communicate with audiences far beyond those you address directly in seminars, consultations, coachings, and keynote speeches. It’s a way to communicate with thousands of people you have never met. You strengthen your reputation as an expert. You become a thought leader in your field.

9) Your book can help provide you with spin-off opportunities, such as becoming a regular or guest columnist, producing further materials (workbooks, audio products, DVDs, teleseminars, webinars, etc.) based on the content of your book.

10) In the macro sense, writing and publishing furthers the cause of promoting literacy and of ensuring that the pleasures of good writing (which is a tradition thousands of years old) will never be lost.

Find time in your busy schedule to create a book about your expertise and become a published author. You will be happy you did. Visit Keynote Speaker for more information.

If you own, operate, or manage a business, you know and understand the importance of employee motivation. If employees are not motivated, then this will impact your business in a negative fashion. Generally employees who are lacking in the area of motivation will lack in the area of productivity as well. When productivity slacks because of complications with motivation among employees, the quality of your goods and/or services is also affected in a negative fashion.

When there is an issue with employee motivation in the workplace, there is often an issue with the quantity of work that is performed. So if you are wondering how this affects performance you can see that stated here. Even more important than the overall productivity of the employees is the quality of work produced by the employees. When these individuals experience low morale, they make very little effort to ensure that the work that they perform meets and/or exceeds the standards as set forth by their organization. In turn, your business will not only produce less work, but less quality as well.

You probably believe that you pay your employees at least an average compensation, offer them good benefits, and this should motivate them, right? Wrong. It has been discovered, after many years of psychological and scientific research, that while employees are appreciative of pay rates and benefits, this is not the ultimate source of motivation in the workplace. As a matter of fact, many employees are more satisfied in receiving recognition for a job well done than a health insurance policy that has a good prescription plan.

Some organizations have taken it upon themselves to ask employees through the use of a questionnaire or survey what they would like to see changed or improved in the workplace. The theory behind these surveys or questionnaires is to allow the organization a stricter definition of what program or programs should be instituted for the effect of increased employee performance. Refer to Keynote Speaker for more information.

Many professional organizations will reward their employees for performing their basic responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with in-house objectives and expectations. Many companies do not feel as if it is appropriate to reward an employee for simply performing the responsibilities that are expected of them. Regardless of what type of reward system you have in place, the most important thing that you can do to ensure employee motivation is to always recognize the fact that they are working according to expectations, and thank them for doing so.

If you want to show your appreciation for employees in order to motivate them, there are many different methods of doing so. First, you may elect to buy them lunch during the week, or simply offer a free pass for an extra break when they feel as if they need it. Many companies may allow employees to have a casual dress day, or engage in a variety of activities while on their breaks, like surfing the internet in the break room, and similar things.

Discovering the method of properly motivating in the workplace is truly a trial and error process. However, the main thing to remember is that money and benefits do not always motivate your employees. Many times, a simple pat on the back, or peer recognition means more to an employee than money or gifts. When you recognize this fact, you will learn exactly how simple it is to motivate your people.

In conclusion, it is important to understand that employee motivation is the basis to the success of your business. You must encourage your employees in such a way that they are willing to provide the productivity and the quality that you expect of them. The old saying about money not buying love holds true in todays business sector. Sometimes, simply taking time to focus on a job well done and the extra effort an employee puts forth is more rewarding than a paycheck. Visit Keynote Speaker for further information.
